Heero woke before anyone else and went downstairs to check his mail. What he found waiting in his email queue sent up back upstairs, laptop in hand. He shed his robe, and climbed back under the covers with the others, jostling then awake.
"Damn, baby, your feet are like ice blocks!" Duo mumbled into his pillow.
"And his butt," Trowa added, spooning sleepily up behind Heero and wrapping an arm around his waist. "Mmm, nice ice though--What the--? Hey, I thought we agreed, Yuy; no more computers in bed!"
"At night," Heero reminded him, rescuing his laptop from questing hands. "I think you'll all want to hear this. Is Quatre awake yet?"
"Do I hafta be?" a muffled voice grumbled from under a pillow on the far side of the bed.
LOL. I was telling someone about this fic.

"Geez, man. Chill. It was an accident." Duo grasped the brandished frisbee and took a half step back from the volatile kid. He wasn't scared, but it was never good practice to let someone that pissed off that close. Even someone as tiny this. Duo wasn't extraordinarily tall, not quite reaching 6', but this kid made him feel like a giant. "And in case you haven't noticed, classes haven't started yet. Everyone is out foolin' around."
Indeed, groups of students littered the quad, some lounging on picnic blankets, others with their own eclectic collection of sports equipment. Duo's own friends were close enough to have heard the chinese boy's rant and were not so very subtly snickering at Duo's predicament.
A bit peeved at the kid's overreaction and hoping to save face in front of his friends, Duo shifted so that the half-step turned into a relaxed and arrogant stance, arms crossed over his chest and a smirk playing on his lips. "Everyone without a stick up there ass, that is."

Breath.
They all needed to take a long break. Relena was frazzled, at her wits end with all the hard choices she was making every day. Heero and Duo were looking pretty ragged from endless days and nights protecting the new Queen of the World. The war just ended, the Preventers were in full swing, and Relena was finally feeling that heavy weight settle on her shoulders.
She can't breath.
It won't come from her lungs no matter how hard she tries. All she sucks in is stale air, manly cologne clouded her thoughts and she was so warm. It was stuffy in the office with everyone in here with her.
Movement to Relena's right let her know that she isn't the only one. Duo just pulled his braid over his shoulder to get it off his neck. Summer Earth-side was hell. How they did it, Relena wasn't sure. She longed for the climate controls of a colony. One look at Heero and that told her Heero was annoyed with the heat. The cobolt eyed boy was red, only just slightly, and had a thin layer of sweat on his face. Yet the other men in the room seemed fine with it. This annoyed Relena to no end.
Finally, half way through the meeting Relena stands up and puts her hands on the table, steadying herself. "Gentlemen. I am very sorry for this, but I need to cut the meeting short. I've started feeling ill from all this heat and sun." She couldn't focus on a word they were saying, because they'd been over this again and again. The Preventers were enough protection from the occasional riots that happen, why couldn't they understand that?
She listened to the mumbles of "Oh, of course!" and watched as the men piled out of the room. Now she could breath. Ungracefully, Relena slumped into her oversize leather chair, wishing for some kind or reprieve from this heat.
Heero and Duo moved as one to shut the shades to the huge window behind her. While Heero waited beside Relena, Duo moved to the door and shut it, adjusting the thermostat, pointlessly. He could only turn the fan on; the main control was in the basement, and that isn't where they were now. Still, anything to make the Queen of the world happier.
"God, I didn't think they'd ever leave!" Duo said, finally breaking the long silence that fell over the three. He stretched his arms above his head, keeping his braid laying against his chest. "Those old windbags always say the same thing over and over again. 'Lena, just tell them no and not to bring it up again!"
Relena snorted and grinned at Duo. "But Duo," she purred, motioning him a bit closer. "I just love to watch you squirm near them." Of course Duo hated old guys in suits, they intimated Relena herself! Her eyes took on that manic look, and Duo knew it really was breathing time.
Heero's lips fluttered in a grin before he looked to Duo, waiting to see his reaction.
Duo moved himself over to the two of them and squatted down in front of Relena, leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the lips. "And everyone thinks you're a good guy," he said after pressing a few kisses to her cheeks.
They both looked up with a hand touched their heads. Blue and violet eyes stared up at Heero as he threaded his fingers through their hair, smiling slowly. He might not have anything to say right now, but his smile was enough for his two lovers.
Duo stood up first and gave Heero kisses like he did for Relena, and then tugged the girl up out of her chair and into the hug.
And they finally breathed and relaxed. In the dark, still too warm office. They breathed in each other scents, felt each and knew it would be better soon.
This is a fic I wrote for the winner of the bad romance contest. |D

Papers were scattered all over the floor. Pens met the paper, creating huge in splotches that made imaginary pictures. Even the pencil sharpener and stapler were on their sides, forgotten, on the floor in this dark office. All that could be heard was the sound of panting, soft pleading and the creak of the desk.
Blond met brown, emerald met ice blue, tan met tan. Soft, thin lips met chapped full lips. Words met heart, hearts met and they were spinning in a world they'd discovered only recently. Hands mapped flesh and worshiped at the same time. Ever gentle, apologizing for leaving. Who knew so many emotions could be communicated with just hands? Promises in the hitching, rhythmical breathing. Love breathed in those airy moans of the others name rolling off his lips.
The wait was so worth it.
Green eyes snapped open as his alarm clock finally soaked into his dream, causing the lingering feelings to drip over his consciousness like the trickling of a warm shower on a cold day. Comforting, but leaving you wanting so much more.
