"I wouldn't know!" He answered to Solo's retreating back. He wasn't actually sure if Solo was really angry with him, or just being a bit pissy. Either one would be quite in character. Duo just wasn't sure what to do if it was that first option. Eh...whatever. He'll get over it. I hope.
Wufei's words pulled him out of his musings with a start. Wait a minute...
"What?" He turned fully to the other boy, still keeping his seat on the armrest. "I won't lie, Solo can be a ass. And he's been acting like one quite a bit more often lately," he almost said that loud enough for Solo to hear, but changed his mind just before. "But seriously, just cause he thinks he's top dog doesn't mean that he's in charge of who everyone is friends with."
Duo was quiet for a moment, thinking through some of the things Wufei had said and done during their short acquaintance. "Solo's my best friend, so if you don't like the drama, you could always just hang with Hilde and Clark." He pointed to the two playing ping pong across the room. "Their eh...subgroup? doesn't generally hang with Solo except in large groups like today."

It wasn't that he didn't want to 'hang out' with Duo. It was the drama he was apparently bringing between Duo and his best friend. Wufei glanced to Solo and the ping pong table when Duo mentioned it and frowned deeply. It seemed to be all Wufei could do lately, frown or get pissy and irritable for almost no reason. Then his dark eyes looked toward Duo and shook his head.
"I want to 'hang out'. I was just stating, apparently, I brought drama between the two of you. He is acting like an over protective brother." That was honestly all he meant. Thinking back, he could honestly see where Duo was coming from, coming up with the assumption that he didn't want to befriend the braided haired boy. With a little sigh he shifted against the couch to get more comfortable and looked toward Duo, who was still on the armrest.
The more Wufei thought about Solo's little slips and remarks, the more Wufei thought there was something more then friendship there, at least with that boy. Unlike popular belief, Wufei was fine with homosexuals; he knew it happened in this day and age, and was fine with it as long as he wasn't the target of affection or gossip. He actually had quite a few conversations with gay men and found them to be quite insightful and open minded. Well, naturally they were. The more he looked Duo over, the more fascinated with him he was becoming.
It wasn't even about the way Duo looked; it was how easy going and carefree he was. Wufei didn't have time to be either of those things. His nose was always stuck in a book, he was always training or meditating, taking careful notes about his eating habits to stay in top shape and all that he grew up with. But Duo, was completely opposite, it would seem. Yes, this was their first meeting, but it wouldn't be their last. Wufei was usually pretty accurate about reading people, as well. Unless.. this boy had on some kind of mask; which Wufei wouldn't know if he did or not. "Forget I said anything. What... should we do now that the film is over as well as the credits?"

Duo managed a small noncommittal noise at Wufei's 'brother' comment and determinedly kept his gaze off Solo. Over protective sibling or not, Duo was still a bit miffed at Solo's behavior.
He did perk up a bit at Wufei's question, though.
"Well, we are in the lounge. There are quite a few diversions here." Duo gestured to the ping pong tables and the meager stack of beat up old board games shelved against the wall. "Hilde brought her whole movie collection down today," he nodded at the plain black CD case resting on top of the TV, "we could always put something else o-"
At that particular moment, Duo's stomach interrupted with a truly impressive rumbling growl. He chuckled a bit self-consciously while scratching at the back of his neck. "Or, ya know....if you haven't eaten yet, some of the campus restaurants should be open by now."

It wasn't that Wufei wasn't hungry. It was the fact he absolutely hated the food here. He would much prefer some other kind of restaurant; like a real Chinese one. Sometimes he missed his home because of that fact. The Chinese food made here was always too greasy or not right. Then again, it was Americanized to appeal to a wider variety of people.
"....We could get something to eat," he started, thinking about what was at least decent. Subway was good. He hadn't had it in a while, either. "Then we could come back here and.... be entertained somehow, I suppose. Air hockey sound like a good game?" Wufei had played before and actually enjoyed the game. While it wasn't very physical for him, it loosened him up enough to have a good time. Took his mind off of manners.

"Air hockey's great!" Duo practically lit up at the suggestion, a gleam in his eye suggesting that it wasn't just caused by a love of the game. "Food first though. I feel like I could eat a house."
Duo stood, feet still firmly planted on the couch cushion, and reached up until his fingertips hit the soft cork-board ceiling panel above him and pushed it in an inch or two. The stretch sent a series of light pops running through his spine and shoulders. He then hopped down off the couch, straightening the t-shirt that had ridden up a bit, offered Wufei a pleasant grin along with a hand to help him up.
"Mind if we stick to on campus? Not much in the mood for a long walk or long wait."

Wufei couldn't help but stare at the other boy as he stretched and popped his back. It was something Wufei wasn't used to hearing, or even seeing. But that skin that was revealed was skin like any other, and yet it fascinated him. Why was that?
Shaking his head, the Chinese boy took that hand and stood up, stretching his own back, but it didn't pop. "I am fine with on campus food. Surprisingly it's better than a lot of things I've eaten in a restaurant. I am looking to get a sub anyway. Something filling, but semi-healthy." He knew there were a lot of junk food places around. Plus, they had coffee. Despite how late it was, Wufei wanted to get coffee. His own had spilled in his lap this morning.

There was a moment, half a moment really, as Duo had jumped off the couch that he thought he saw Wufei tracking his movement in a way that he could only describe as blankly. Whether that was a good or bad thing, Duo didn't really care to find out. Though hopefully it didn't mean that Wufei's thoughts were shifting back to the upset that afternoon. That would suck. Big time.
"Healthy-schmealthy. Pizza can hold all the food groups a man needs, but a sandwich sounds good too. So, whatever ya want, man. Lead the way!" There was a small mock bow and a gesture towards the door that Duo never actually waited for Wufei to follow. He half walked around, half slid overtop the sofa arm that stood between him and the doorway, calling out quick 'see ya later's to Hilde and a few others in the room. He acknowledged Solo with a slight nod and a neutral eye lock, but no actual words. And then he was at the doorway, turned around facing Wufei with both hands tucked into his back pockets as he waited for the other boy to catch up.
