as son and foster son of the king of sanc milliardo and treize have duties that must be attended to for the good of the kingdom, but personally the two also do work as engineers, trying to create a better prosthesis to give treize more comfort and mobility, even the designs that don't work on the small scale can be translated to mobile suit design. their blueprints and upgrad modles are highly sought after in the open market. (gundam legs are clunkey things in the AC universe i think they should be more stream lined like those of the knightmare frames in code geese)
